Park City Utah is a haven for ski enthusiasts and tourists alike during the winter season. In fact, Historic Park City is precisely what many come from miles to see during their trip! With shopping, restaurants, art galleries and nightlife, there is never a dull moment, especially during the holidays!
So whether you’re ready to head up the mountain for a day on the slopes or hit Main Street to tour the local shops, there are many ways to enjoy Park City this time of year. Here are just a few ideas for the coming holiday week:
Finish your holiday shopping
Like I mentioned above, Historic Main Street in Park City is unparalleled and just the place to finish up gathering those last-minute holiday gifts. Here you can find over 100 unique shops, boutiques, art galleries and speciality stores— everything from ski gear to books, flowers and antiques.
Experience the local cuisine
Park City is known for its skiing, but its culinary scene is making a name for itself as well. This little mountain town has over 100 restaurants to choose from, so do your research ahead of time. The local restaurants are excellent places to bring guests visiting from out of town, just be sure to make a reservation over the holidays!
Spend the holidays on the slopes
Are you a ski lover? The local resorts—Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley, the Canyons—all have special holiday events planned. For PCMR, Santa will visit on Christmas Eve, skiing around the mountain until sunset. Afterwards, he will lead over 100 ski and snowboard instructors down the PayDay run for Park City’s 50th Annual Torchlight Parade.
The Torchlight Parade can best be viewed from the Resort Plaza where PCMR will be serving hot beverages and cookies. Admission is free and the event begins at 5:30.
If ever there was a time to visit and enjoy Park City and the surrounding communities of Kamas, Oakley, Francis, Midway or Heber City, it’s during the holidays. Contact me today for more information on how you can call this great area home!
