Another Christmas has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean the holidays are over in the idyllic mountain community of Park City. As you may have seen on the blog, there are plenty of resorts in town at which you can ski into the new year. From Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley to Canyons— who is hosting a big New Year’s Eve Celebration!

Kids Mini Lessons
From 9 AM to 5 PM on New Year’s Eve, Canyons is offering junior skiers the opportunity to brush up on their skills on the min- park set-up on the Ski Beach in the Resort Village.
Live Music
All morning, from 9 AM to 11 AM, Park City tourists and residents alike can enjoy live music in the Resort Village from local musicians. Start your day on the slopes on Canyons’ Red Pine Gondola and tunes playing as you ride.
Photo Booth
Who doesn’t love a photo booth, especially in beautiful Park City Utah? From 3 PM to 5 PM, Canyons will provide the backdrop and the props for a fun photo!
Play in the Snow
It wouldn’t be winter or ski season without snow, so join Canyons as they make snowmen, go sledding and even participate in snow graffiti. The resort provides everything you need to play in the snow, from toys to games, just bring your boots!
Meet the Avalanche Dogs
At 4:30 on New Year’s Eve, Canyons Resort will bring out their avalanche dogs (and some of the best ski patrollers in the country!) to meet guests on the Ski Beach.
Torchlight Parade
In my last post, I shared this great holiday event at Canyons and on New Year’s Eve you can visit it first-hand! The Torchlight Parade will begin at 7 PM and feature the Canyons Ski & Snowboard School parading down the slope lit only by torches.
Fireworks Display
It wouldn’t be New Year’s without fireworks and immediately following the Torchlight Parade, Canyons’ impressive fireworks show will begin at the Ski Beach.
Park City (and the surrounding communities of Kamas, Oakley, Francis, Midway and Heber City) really is one of the best places in the country to spend the holidays and we are lucky to have its many attractions nearby.
