Kamas is a quaint, small town located in Summit County, Utah. Surrounded by the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains, as well as the Provo River and Weber River, Kamas has long attracted recreation enthusiasts. Known as the “Gateway to the Uintas”, Kamas is the last town before entering the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, accessed by the scenic Mirror Lake Highway. Residents and visitors enjoy hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, boating, swimming, horseback riding, ATV riding, and camping during the summer. Summertime also brings Kamas Fiesta Days, a local tradition for over 70 years featuring activities for the entire family. In the winter, this area is popular for some truly amazing snowmobiling, backcountry skiing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and winter hiking.
