    DESCRIPTION

    Samak is a small town with a ton of character, nestled in the trees just off scenic Mirror Lake Highway at one of the main entrances to the Uinta Mountains. Samak is surrounded by beautiful mountainsides full of mature trees and features Beaver Creek winding through the community. Samak is as close as you can get to living in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in northeastern Utah. Recreation opportunities are truly endless in this small community, with blue ribbon fly fishing, hiking, camping, mountain biking, ATV and horseback riding nearby, as well as the crystal clear waters of high mountain lakes just up the road. Recreation doesn’t end when the snow starts to fall, with thousands of acres of open space for snowmobiling, snowshoeing, backcountry skiing, and cross country skiing accessible just past the Mirror Lake winter gate.

    Samak is located right off Mirror Lake Highway, about 5 miles outside of Kamas, Utah. Samak is about 20 miles from Park City, Utah and about 50 miles from Salt Lake City, Utah.
